Laser resurfacing is one of the most effective tools for rejuvenating sun damaged, acne scarred, or deeply wrinkled skin. The laser procedure vaporizes thin layers of the skin by targeting water molecules. The skin’s texture and pigmentation are improved and the skin is tightened. Collagen production is stimulated and the skin returns to a more youthful appearance. Although many patients choose to treat the entire face, some target problem areas such as under eye wrinkles or lip creases. Resurfacing is tailored to the individual, deeper treatments will target more advanced creases and require more healing time.
